Prof. MATH

Isang mainit na mami ang tumulong sa akin sa pag-iisip ng first post ko. Mainit at masarap sa pakiramdam. Balak ko sanang ilagay ang kwentong nabuo sa aking isipan kanina lang.

Kain lang.

Sa mga oras na 'toh ay isang narativ repost sana sa ekonomiks ang aking ginagawa o di kaya'y nagpapa-tuitor dun sa kapitbahay pero eto nagba-blog ako para lang magkwento kung gaano kakaiba ang Math teacher ko ngayong fourth year.

Itago natin siya sa codename na MR. EVEILEB, the Math teacher. First day of class, pumasok siya sa kwarto at binuksan ang libro ng batang lalaki na nasa aisle. Binasa ang ilang lines sa book tapos recitation.

Actually, function ang topic e. Obvious na obvious na ready ang lahat pero ng bigla siyang nagsalita, nagbago ang atmosphere. "What is your function in this class?" So kamusta naman yun? Akala ko ba MATH itong klaseng pinasukan ko.

PILOT section pa naman kami kaya siguro talagang sinusubok kami ng teacher na ito. Natawag si Ms. Dictionary ng klase, "Okay, Miss..."sabi ni Sir. "Ramos po."

"Okay, Ms. Ramos. Are you the muse in this class?"

"No, sir."

"Then, your the escort?"

Natawa na lang ako sa banat niya, anyway dun na tayo sa part na tinatanong siya kung anung function niya sa class.

"As a member of Class Wisdom, I guess my function here is to follow the officers."

"Huh? Why? This the 4th time that a member of your class said that. I think its not the right term, what if the president said something that was wrong or immoral?" The prof was half-smiling that time. He added, "Are you going to follow that order?"

"No, sir."

After a long paused, our Math prof proceed.

"Okay, continue, what are your functions here?"

"As a group leader of cleaners, I must maintain the cleanliness." She took a deep breath and suck his lower lip.

"So, your the group leader of the cleaners, so your supposed to give orders and be followed by your members?"

"No, sir! I must do my duty too. I should be a good example. They will cooperate if Im doing my job as a leader too."

"Exactly, the term is cooperate. To follow is not your function here. The President or the officers rather are elected not just to give orders and be followed. They are positioned to be a good example and to do their duty. Very good, Wisdom." That was our class, Wisdom.

he proceed, "Sabi na nga ba may mapipiga dito sa klase niyo."

The following days were just like that. As in, read the book then self-study, recitation and board work, and our prof never discuss anything. Ang laman lang ng notebook ko ay seatwork then assignment.

He was talking to our adviser out loud infront of us, and obviously, naririnig namin. "After first grading, siguro tapos na natin itong libro. Ang bibilis matuto ng estudyante ko eh, nakaupo na lang ako puro sila ang nag-didiscuss. Mahuhusay! Maybe we could study Calculus in advanced for your 3rd grading, and for the fourth, siguro bakasyon na agad kayo sa akin."

It think that would be cool but be logical. It's MATH! Not English! Im not some geek or what, maraming slow learner sa room noh! But Im not included, I do self-study kasi nakakahiya mapahiya!
